Help me, Ellipsis 8 need ROM

I have 1 tablet Ellipsis 8, it currently infected by virus with root authority, I can't open the Ellipsis 8. Please help me, I need the Ellipsis 8 stock ROM.
Thanks you !

Hi.

I totally messed up my Verizon Ellipsis QTAQZ3. When I boot up, it loads the Ellipsis screen and then goes to the Verizon screen where it just sits and loads continuously. I have tried doing a hard reset but it still just does the same thing. I am hoping there is a way to reload it to the factory default. I am pretty new to Android, so I don't know if what I would need is a ROM or if there is a way to load from an SD. If I connect it to my PC, it doesn't get recognized.

I appreciate any help out there.

Thanks

Luke

  1. Ensure the device is powered off.
  2. Simultaneously press and hold the Volume Up and Power button until "Ellipsis" appears then release.

Screen goes dark then "Android system recovery" screen appears.
  3. Select wipe data/factory reset.

Utilize the Volume down button to highlight and the Volume Up button to select.
  4. Select Yes-delete all user data.

Allow several minutes for the data wipe process to complete.
  5. Select reboot system now.

To set up the device after completing the factory data reset, refer to Initial Activation and Setup.
  6. Report back, I am here for assistance!

Try This:

Safe Mode puts your phone in a diagnostic state (returned to default settings) so you can determine if a third-party app is causing your device to freeze, reset or run slow.

An alternate method is available if the device is unresponsive or won't power on.

  1. With the device powered on, press and hold the Power button (located on the upper-right edge) until the Tablet options prompt appears then release.
  2. Touch and hold Power off until "Reboot to safe mode" appears then tap OK.

The restart process may take up to 45 seconds to complete.

Upon restart, Safe mode appears in the lower left of the unlock/home screen.
  3. With Safe Mode enabled, test device and app functionality.

Yeah, I have tried this and it doesn't work. It just does the same thing. The Ellipsis screen comes up first and then the Verizon screen where it just stays and loads non stop.

Hi Luke,

I also face the exact problem you're facing with your tablet QTAQZ3. I was given the same tablet as a gift from my grandma from the U.S. (I live in South East Asia) and I updated this tablet and rooted it as well via Kingo Root. Same cause and same symptoms. I turned the tablet off after the root was successful and it no longer boots to the OS (it only stays in the welcome screen). As much as I really hope someone out here would give us a link to our tablet's stock ROM, I was thinking that I have no other option but to give it back to my grandma and ask her for a favor to take it to the Verizon store. I'm very positive they'll flash it with the stock ROM that they have for this unit.

I would recommend (if there is no other way) that you should bring your tablet to the Verizon store nearby, tell them that your device was soft-bricked (or stayed in a bootloop) and hope for the best that they'll flash your tablet right away with a stock OS.

Thanks,

Kyle

P.S. I truly feel your pain...

I have the exact same issue. Tried to convert kingroot ( which successfully rooted the tablet btw ) to superuser. Used the superume app or something like that. App seemed to work was probably my error. However now i just get stuck at vzw screen. If anyone finds a rom or some other diy fix id love to hear about it. If nothing shows up within the next day or so i am just going to go to a vzw store and beg for mercy.

I also have this problem. ellipsis 8 QTAQZ3 won't boot past the Verizon screen. Repair center wouldn't do anything for me, even though it's a software issue, because I'm outside of warranty time. Verizon sucks.
All the intelligent people tinkering with droid tablets and no one has an answer on this? I've looked everywhere.

No change since this thread was started, there is no publicly available manufacturer ROM for the Verizon Ellipsis 8 tablet AFAIK, and no custom ROMs for this device either. Sure there's been other threads as well, where users have apparently tried to root and ended up bricking their Ellipsis tablets, or users have rooted them, and then Verizon pushes an OTA firmware update which fails and bricks the rooted/modified tablets.

Thing is the Chinese manufacturer the Ellipsis tablets is unknown, likely they're custom made, so really the only source of possible assistance is Verizon Wireless.
