Help me pick a new Android phone.

Hey everyone.

I am a T-Mobile customer. I love T-Mobile, but there is a lack of good Android phones out right now. I do have the MyTouch 3G, the version when it first came out. And it was good for about a month, but I am no longer happy with it. Incredibly slow, and there are a whole lot more options out there. I know the Nexus One is compatible with T-Mobile, but I am not spending that amount of money on it. Plus, the area I recently moved into has horrible T-Mobile service. However, for those wondering, I do LOVE the nexus one.

I really want to move to Verizon, for their 3G coverage and their service in my area is wonderful. However, I don't know which phone to get, and research on it makes me lost. I do know that I want an HTC phone. I love the company. I am in love with the Eris, but I have heard that newer HTC phones are coming out for Verizon soon. Anyone that can give me the names of them, and maybe a comparison to the N1 would be great.

I love the live wallpaper feature on the N1, and how sleek it looks. Looking for something thin, with a touch screen only (no hard keyboard)

Thanks for the help.

Upcoming HTC Android phones are the Legend and the Desire. The Legend is a Hero with a new body--not much of an upgrade hardware-wise to be honest--and the Desire is the Nexus One with Sense and trackpad instead of trackball and hardware buttons instead of capacitive ones, plus a bit more RAM. They should be available come April, I suppose.

From what I understand, they are about to release a verizon version of the NEXUS 1. When that happens, I'm gonna give my t-mobile Nexus to my wife and pick up a Verizon version for me.

They are saying that the Desire will be going to T-Mo so really you are going to have the best. If I were you, I'd just wait a bit on the network...there will be some great stuff.
