Help Help me please my droid 2 global is bricked

OK ILL BE AS CLEAR AS POSSIBLE.

1. My droid 2 global had both miui and android os on it (dual boot). miui was active.
2. I accidentally did a factory reset and my droid 2 global (D2G) kept force closing all over the damn place, i couldnt do anything on it.
3. I did some research and was told to use rdslite with the sbf file to flash my D2G back to android os 2.2.
4.I did just that but during the flashing process I got an error saying that 'Flashing failed ( rdslite mention 'Failed Interface BP Error checking RAM downloader (0x709f) phone connected' ). but it had wiped everything off my phone even tho it failed.
5. Now i cant even put my phone in recovery mode..I tried flashing it again with a different sbf file and also tried some online remedies that didnt work.!!!!!!
6. NOW THE ONLY THING I SEE WHEN I TURN MY PHONE ARE THESE MESSAGES (my phone just automatically goes into bootloader mode)

Bootloader
D0.11

Code currupt

Battery ok
ok to program
connect usb
Data cable.

help me please as ive tried everything and I cant see why motorolla doesnt have an official desktop software that allows u to reinstall the os if u messed it up, like other manufactures do. I love this damn phone but its getting to me now. help please

Was your phone connected with the appropiate drivers? It should say connected and installed drivers when you are in bootloader mode. Do you have the droid 2 global sbf Full file? what version of windows do u have? windows 7 is the best but should be in compatibility mode. if you need more help let me know... dan

yes i installed all the correct drivers from motorola's website. and im using windows xp actually, tried it on both windows xp and windows 7. and no i didnt use the full d2g sbf file, didnt see it as necessary. i will attempt it again tommorow on a different pc with the d2g full sbf file ok bro. but if all fails, ill just try using ubuntu to flash it because thats the most promising choice i have seen so far.

It seems some people have had success using ubuntu. im new to it so ill do some research before i attemp even tho its said that its much easier than using rdslite on windows. will let u know ok. it realy sucks because i spent an entire day removing the chrome bezel (wet sanding and polishing with compound) from my d2g, now it looks cooler with the bezel all black and shiny..too bad its dead.

if anyone knows how to use unbutu to flash the droid 2 global please tell me how or leave me a link ok. im searching but cant find the full process. thanx

I DID IT!!!! not using Unbutu by the way. biggiesmalls657 ur right, I used the full sbf file and tried in on a different PC running windows 7 and the flashing process went straight through. but I had to do several other things.

1. I used Rdslite 5.06 and not 4.9
2. I downloaded the latest motorola drivers twice (yes twice)
3. very important I ran rdslite as an Administrator.
4. I downloaded the FULL motorola D2G sbf file and then connected my brick D2G, the drivers then installed automatically.
5. I Opened rdslite 5.06 and selected the sbf file and started the flashing process, strangly this time it moved much slower than my previous failed attempts. When it reached the stage where it would normally fail (checking the ROM DOWNLOADER), I held my breath but it didnt fail and it rebooted the phone!
6. It reached a stage where rdslite asked me to 'please manually power on the device, my D2G wasnt off so i tried pressing the power button but that didnt work either. so I chanced it and removed the battery and re-inserted it and powered on the phone, connected it to the pc again but nothing happened! RSDLITE was still asking me to mamanually power on the phone. (I didnt stop rdslite at anystage)
7.I got fed up and just rdslite. and powered off my phone and back on again. it kept bootlooping over and over. I did some research and I entered recovery mode on my D2G (slide open the keyboard and hold the X button and the power button until the pnone entered recovery mode).
8. once in recovery mode, I pressed the spyglass button on the keyboard to bring up some options, using the up/down volume keys to navigate and the camera button to select, I selected the option to WIPE DATA/FACTORY RESET.
9. After this process was completed, the phone booted normally :-) and I was given the option to activate the phone (this option is only necessary if ur on verizon's cdma network. Im in Jamaica and my Carrier is DIGICEL and its gsm so I just went to settings and selected GSM/UMTS network and voila !!!!!!!!!!
10. After all this I updated the os to gingerbread 2.3.3 , OTA update. so now my phone is up and running perfectly.

So thanks to everyone who provided the information that helped me out, not just here but at the xda forums also. Gonna root my phone tommorow and hopefully not F* it up again lol
