I have an app idea. It will work as as your secure life memories saver....... Each 2 hours you will receive a notif. from an app asking what happened last 2 hours(you can change the frequency of push notif.). You will type not too much about what was going on last 2 hours, also by posting short videos, photo or record. And you will do it each 2 hours. This info will be stored and you could remember minor doings of your life even after 30 years. There also will be a feature of sharing on social network. Spending 5 minutes a day, you could safely store your minor life memories. The overall point is - To give people a platform where they could securely and even fancily store their life moments, also to share it on social media if they want. Would you use it? Yes or No? Thank you

I could see it used as a short term memory training device, or even as therapy for those suffering from Alzheimer's or other diseases that affect memory, but you lost me at social networking. The last thing I need to see are mundane updates of other people's lives every two hours. ;)

Why so? You will not remember what happened today after 30 years. So i dont get the point with Alzheimer's. Also you will choose yourself to post it on FB(if it s not a private info) or not to do it. This app is the same as Facebook status update but aimed not at people, but mostly at yourself. Also on Facebook you post mostly your thoughts but not what you did. And here you will update your life actions and happenings that you would not be able to remember after 30 years. You dont track what you did yesterday, it is obvious. But it will be interesting to find out what you did 5 years ago, 20 years ago, etc. This is the point.

No,I wouldn't use it,for a number of reasons:
1) I get enough "prompts" from everyday life,I don't need another one that asks for "recaps".
2) I'm gonna go one step further & guess this is nothing more than a data-mining app.Guessing the list of permissions for this app would run the gamut.
Nice try,very clever,NO THANKS!

The comment about Alzheimer's was to point out that an app like that could have positive therapeutic effect for an Alzheimer patient. That's a good thing. :)

Honestly, there's very little i do on that regular of a basis that i'd want to remember 30 minutes from now, let alone 30 years.

I know there are people who "share" all aspects of their lives on social media. Facebook, G+, Twitter, etc are all suffering the cacophonous din of mundane thoughts and experiences of people I neither know or care about. I realize mine isn't that interesting to me. I certainly wouldn't inflict it on others.

Remember that you asked for opinions, not the opportunity to convince us otherwise.

I agree, it s a stumbling-stone. But we use apps requiring personal info, we use FB sharing such info, we register on different websites, etc. So using everything of it, and ignoring just 1 one app is not a feedback to follow for developer. Especially, if the key-point is security, as in Telegram, for instance

I do not contradict. I just share my opinion. Thank you for your feedback

Also it can be done in a fancy way. If it is boring to securely store your memories with short statuses for yourself after years, so it can be done by using ''just 5 words'' or by using tags. Also you can manage yourself the frequency of push notifications. I believe, it can be managed in a more appropriate way for users if the raw idea is good.

Perhaps so,assurances of personal data security would go a long way in attracting users to your app.
I'll admit,I don't use fb,Twitter I have less than 50 or so tweets, most are inquiring about discounts/etc...,in a word,I'm not on the social network scenes. This site & one similar to it is the extent of my internet social network.
So,in all fairness,my views may not be a sizable/accurate reflection of the masses.

You might be on to something & I wish you success in your endeavor.
BTW,WELCOME TO ANDROID FORUMS Zakir Aghazada ! :thumbsupdroid:

But if we look at it from a marketing point of view, Android Forums coalition is not the ''glamorous Instagram coalition'' so it s a matter of target audience. And here i could get the info about the ways of managing such app, but not much about the demand, i guess
