Help me -- samsung galaxy s hoppin

ok so i have a korean phone... it's samsung galaxy s hoppin

and i have a few questions... if you can answer them i would greatly appreciate it...

1. does it really have only 80 characters max in text? ( so i dl an app called go sms pro but still )

2. why can't i send korean characters? omg that's the point of me buying a korean phone so i can send text to my korean friends but it won't send if it has any special characters

3. why does my battery only last like 4-5 hour and i have the easy battery saver apps...

4. what kinds of useful apps should i download (not games)

please i'm really messed up right now... help me so i can be ENLIGHTEN

hey maikiii! welcome to AF!

1. nope
2. if you cant send any special characters, maybe it's because it's on GSM mode, set it to automatic
3. actually, battery savers CONSUMES battery.. all they do is disable some settings on your phone (which you can do manually) flashing firmwares/roms/kernels might help you save battery.. also, battery is consumed when your screen is on high, GPS is on, Data Connection, some widgets too, apps that weren't closed properly
4. i suggest you don't download any battery savers or auto task killers

and about number 1 how will i increase the number of max char?

2. Messaging>Messaging's Settings>Input mode>Automatic

1. i dunno why your sgs has 80 max char.. but mine has 160. maybe it's fixed on your network provider?

my battery... omg... the battery life of galaxy s hoppin is so frustrating...
i mean my only last like 4-5 hours and i have to charge my phone like 3-4 times a day...

what can i do... a user here said that battery saver and task killer actually drains the battery and blah blah.... so... what do i have to do... and should i change my battery???

In order to find out how you used your battery

touch menu> touch settings> touch battery use> you will be shown a display as to how much percentage of batt power was consumed by which app in your system ..
touch that app and modify it

Normally Display will consume the most..so touch display > Touch Brightness > set to manual and adjust the brightness to 0 , you will still be able to use your phone

Similarly shut down GPS and wireless when not in use

For SMS...just install GO SMS and make it your default sms app..you will be able to get 160 or more characters

opps ..just noted you are in Korea? well than, your SMS will be limited to 80 characters as that is the limit set by South Korea Telecoms.... they want to make more money

As suggested earlier flash/update to newer firmware which had better battery life (like gingerbread 2.3.5 xxjvt or better 2.3.6 xxjw1)

Try monitoring your battery usage find which apps/resources are consuming battery life (settings> battery usage)

sorry flashing a Galaxy S ROM on to a Korean Galaxy S will BRICK the phone

hi... i need help. i was planning to buy a sky vega 4g lte but it has 80 character limit on sms. any solution to this so it can help me decide if i would but it... please help!! thanks. im from Philippines.
