Help Help me transfer contacts from rubbish iphone

Hi everyone....

After seeing the reviews i decided to take the plunge for the next 18 months with the samsung galaxy s.

Now i need to know how to transfer my contacts over to te galaxay from my iphone... How would i go about doing this?

I use gmail as my email account, but currently dont have my contacts synced with my gmail i dont think.

What is the best way to keep numbers and emails and contacts details allstored together and easily transferable at a later date?

Actually i think i have just realised that all my numbers and contacts are synced with gmail. Does this mean when importing contacts etc from gmail all my numbers will appear on the phone? sorry for this newb question
