Help Help me with a keyboard issue

Ok this is my issue... I dontlike using the keyboard that comes with the LG phone...so instead ive installed ikeyboard from the googleplay store. Now the problem is suddenly after 4 months with this phone my keyboard keeps switching to the default i dont like. And the ikeyboard suddenly stops working as if its not installed but it is. Ive fixed the settings in language and input choosing ikeyboard as my choice but somehow when i switch out my battery the keyboard goes back to Lg keyboard. Does anyone know why its suddenly started this and what i can do to keep my phone on preferred Ikeyboard. When i go to settings Ikeyboard is no longer checked off and even tho i set it back on soon after it stops working again..It just started this yesterday.. Ive had no problem up til now . it always stayed on preferred ikeyboard without any issues.

I haven't used many different keyboards,but,the few that I have,never seen this problem.
I'd say it's definitely an app problem,not the phone.
Have you recently updated the iKeyboard app?
 
I have to uninstall n reinstall to get it back on.isnt that weird. Its not working again now. Heres a pic of the Lg keyboard.then ill send a pic of the Ikeyboard i am uused to using for awhile now. Im on sprint and use wifi at home also. I dont get it ? As u can see in the pic above i have the settings choosen.
 
Try taking off the Emoji, rebooting the phone and see if the keyboard works. I have a friend on Sprint and she thinks Sprint is too demanding about some terms. She isn't demanding about anything, but complains anyway.

I have an Emoji that looks like a pile of dung. If there is something that someone finds disgusting or disturbing in your emoji, they could turn off the keyboard rather than the emoji.

If it is the emoji app, you will have to argue with Sprint.
 
I think your right..ikeyboard added an emoji app.. And I think since I installed it this issue started the other day. I bet that's what it is.. I'm uninstalling that add on. Thanks.. Let's see what happens..
 
Ok ..so I took out all them emoji add ones..they don't work anyway..so far the keyboard is fine.. Hasn't dispeared or went back to default Lg keyboard. Thanks guys !
 
I think its solved by uninstalling emoji add ons. Kika glitter emoji. I took it out.. I'll bet that was the problem because for months it was fine till I installed an emoji glitter add on app. Thank you @KOLIO !!
