Help needed, at wits end lol. Samsung i5700 live wallpapers.. thanks in advance

Hi Guys... really could do with some advice... the samsung 15700 is the first touch/droid fone I have had.. I have downloaded (or think I have LOL) from the apps market... it does say at the top that "such and such" live wallpaper installed...so I assume I havent cocked it up. But when I press home>menu>wallpaper it just gives me the bog standard three wallpapers you get with the fone not the live ones. How do I get the live ones to work... some say on install 2.1 requires and Im not sure I have this BUT even the ones that say it should work dont... as I say Im a total novice but would be really thankful for any help you guys could give... thanks in advance and thanks every so much.

Yes i think live wallpapers requires android v.2.1,
to check out what version you have, go to setting --> about phone --> firmware.

The next problem is that you have to root your phone
to be able to use live wallpapers, because it wont
work on your unrooted phone some how.
You will find plenty of guides how to root your phone on google.

Have not done this myself on my galaxy spica I5700, so im very
unsure how risky it is, but read carefully
