Help Needed: Messaging and ChompSMS icon

I'm using an HTC Evo, running Android 2.2, and I recently downloaded ChompSMS and have it as my default messaging app. I was just curious if anyone knows if there is a way to have the native messaging icon be the icon to open ChompSMS? Basically I'm being picky and I like the native icon better, but like the Chomp app any help is much appreciated!

If you mean from the desktop / app drawer, then I think the answer is "Nope" - because they are separate apps. However, if you're rooted, you can probably get someone to theme the ChompSMS app to use a different icon, or do it yourself.

3rd party docks may also be able to do this - for example, in LauncherPro, you can assign any application to the dock, and assign any icon to it that you want. But this is in the dock only....
