Root HELP needed to root my galaxy ace GT-S5830i

hi im new to the forums.

i think i have tried almost every method available on rooting my mobile on this forum but its just not rooting.

my reason for rooting is the poor internal space.

when i try to root it, i try to install the file from the sd card on factory reset, but it comes up saying:

"installation aborted"
"status 7"

then i reboot it and its normal.

im on tesco mobile.

any help would be greatly appreciated, its really frustrating me.

Welcome, rapdog, to Android Forums!

I have moved your thread into the "all things root" section of the Ace forum, so that the folks who know rooting can help you.

I followed all the instructions for rooting my phone, and it bricked. Clearly something went wrong...so make sure you get good advice from someone you know and trust.

Using my old nokia, all my apps save straight to the sdcard...something which never happened on my ace. Can't quite understand why you have to root to do that with android phones, yet on an old symbian the option is already there straight out of the box!

I know this probably won't help, but I rooted mine by downloading something called galaxyrootfinal.apk. I have no idea if it's still available for d/l, but all you have to do is install it.
