Help Help needed with my X10

Hi,

Wondered if any of you guys could help me?

I have had my X10 for over a year now with no problems. I updated to Gingerbread last month and that's when all my problems started. First off, after the update the phone was freezing and turning itself off at random points for example when I was texting or on Twitter. I repaired the software through PC Companion and thought it was ok but it would do the same every so often. Last week my phone started to refuse to charge through the mains charger, so I plugged it through the USB lead in to the computer and it also failed to pick up. I took it to a repair shop who's owner told me it is a common fault with these phones. I then bought an external battery charger to charge the battery and everything was going ok until last night when the phone started to reboot again and again until it went off competely and now won't even turn on. No lights flash in the top right corner, nothing comes on the screen, the only life I get out of it is a small vibration when I press the power button, then nothing!! I have charged the battery fully, I have taken it out and put it back in but my phone is completely dead.

Can any one shed any light or give me any ideas?

Try and flash/repair it.

Remove battery. Start PC Companion. Plug USB to phone and PC, get PC Companion ready to update/repair your phone. At the point it asks, hold the back button on the phone and slip in the battery.
