This message keeps coming up on my Samsung Galaxy S3. I am unsure what the feature is actually used for as I haven't came across it before, but it seems to be interacting with my electronic bus pass from my wallet. Is there any way of stopping this or turning it off?

Also, an explanation of this feature would be helpful too.

Thanks

You may also want to post this in the SG III section also, for more to view, i am sure someone there mght already have a answer for you there

NP, this way you get the best of both worlds and hopefully get a quicker response ;)

You have NFC (Near Field Communication) activated.

If you don't want to use it, you might uncheck it in Settings :)

I have problem with my Samsung Galaxy Note 8 , tell me New tag collected! How can I stop having this message all the time

I think this "New tag collected" NFC thing is actually undesirable behaviour by Samsung, i.e. notifying you of every whatever arbitrary NFC tag the phone comes near. I've got phones(not Samsung) with NFC in them and they don't do this at all. Usually when one scans an NFC it's for a specific purpose, like pairing a Bluetooth device, or tapping to pay, or checking the balance on a bus or subway card which usually has specific apps for this.

If I scan my NFC bus card with my phone I can see the balance on it. But if the screen is off or phone is locked nothing happens at all, like if the phone was my pocket along with the bus card. Which I think is the desirable behaviour, unlike Samsung apparently.
