Help!!! number coming up as does not exist!!

i am trying to text someone but the number is coming up as does not exist but i am able to receive texts and calls from that person just not able to send them please help

Is it starting as 07 (for UK at least) or +(country code again, +44 for UK)

Also check that the persons phone number label is "mobile" instead of "home" or "work" in the edit contact details Page.

maybe that number only allows outgoing calls and outgoing messages. some companies have machines or devices that do that when they use just to inform.

or the other persons settings are set to not recieve text. i had someone like that and i call his wifes phone and they fixed it and all is good now.
