Help on Extracting Zip/Tgz files

hi,
anyone knows how to extract zip files/tgz files in Android?
i tried Astro File Manager but it does not work.

come to think of it, i've never been in a situation that i've needed to extract anything on the phone, so i wouldn't actually know, but it's weird that androzip doesn't work - try asking the dev what's up?
 
haven't used an iphone so can't compare, but i find most things on the galaxy sluggish - the hardware is quite dated and the amount of ram is miserable
apparently galaxo helps with that tho', mainly because of overclocking (plus swap and other tweaks) - still haven't gotten around to flashing it on mine
