Help please: Can't play video on Samsung Tab A

Hello folks. I'm brand new here and hoping to get a little help. Recently, my Galaxy Tab A running Android 7.1.1 won't let me play videos that are posted on websites. For example, if I'm interested in buying something and the maker has posted a video about it on their site, I can see the video is there and see the triangular start button. But nothing happens when I press that start button. Oddly enough, I CAN go to Youtube and play videos.

I've been all over my setiings for both the Tablet and my browser (Chrome) and I can't find anything that I've turned off, blocked, etc. Does anyone know what could be causing this? If so, could you please give me a hand? I'd sure appreciate it.

Try playing the same video from incagnito mode in chrome

Could you post the link to one of those sites that you're having a problem with? It might reveal something attributed to your problem.

This is incredibly odd. On a whim, I erased all my cookies and the problem went away. That might make sense if my problem was with a single website, but it was happening on several different ones.

That's why i suggested trying incagnito as the cookies would not get in the way while there.
