Just got this phone yesterday. It is constantly freezing from wake mode- I reboot and it is okay for maybe 5 minutes and it does it again.

Am I right to assume it is the phone and I should be taking it back to where I got it?

Welcome aboard.

You just might have installed an incompatible application - and need to uninstall it. I would suggest doing a reset of the device...this should rid the device of any debris.

A factory reset will erase all user data and apps.
Your phone will return to its stock condition.

It may solve your all problems...
