Help Help Please - Recovering phones number

How do I show on the phones screen the number of the phone please?

I have a Samsung Galaxy Ace GT-S5830

1. Go to your phones Settings menu.
2. Tap About Phone.
3. Tap Status.

It will list your number.

Thanks Kate for your reply, yes, I tried that and it comes up Unknown. Is there another way?

Assuming you have a SIM card in and also have service - I've heard some carriers don't store the number on the SIM correctly.

Sometimes you can put your SIM in an old flip phone, go to 1) contacts then own phone number or 2) sometimes it's in the settings/setup section, and put in your number.

Hi and thanks again kate, I've figured out how to do it my number in contacts has the code *#100# showing instead of a phone no. If you finger the code you get details of the instruments phone no. Its not stored so it is easily read but its there all the same.
