Root Help Please - Stock Rom HTC Desire 310 (D310w) required

Hi all,

Sorry for any mistakes in this post i am a complete noob to rooting etc.

I recently bought this phone from china but when I came to try it our recently I realised like a noob that there was no google services installed, so I managed to root the phone :) using a chinese software called Shuame ( I installed the older version with the english translation). After that managed to install file explorer. Cant seem to install CWM on this phone I think probably because its a mediatech?

I accidently deleted by contcats.apk and contactsprovider.apk as I was trying to install google services and get my google conatcts to sync now I seem to have lost my stock dialer from the home screen and cant work around with another dialler.

Basically I am looking to get these files from the stock ROM if it is possible so atleast I can use the phone as a phone! I believe the phone has been released in India so if someone has a stock ROM of the indian version I can try and flash this and have google services installed without all the chinese stuff.

I don't know if this will help you anyway..

I copied the apk's from System/App using a file explorer
so I think you should just make the same thing...paste the files..

Thanks to Flav_ius for posting those files finally managed to get my dialler back and have got most of the google services installed on this chinese droid phone. Now I need to get the blinkfeed to show me english options my chinese is not so good...
 
Hi @ all, I am new in rooting android devices. I have a HTC desire 310 too, and I want to root it for app2sd and other fine things.
you say that you can root the desire 310 with shuame, but cwm don't work becouse of The mediatek 6582 platform.
I have found around the web tools like mtk droidtools 2.5.3. or other tools for mtk6582 devices .

my questions are :
1.st.
Is it really possible to root the HTC desire 310 with shuame

2nd : can I do the cwm job ,backup and so on, with tools like mtk droidtools 2.5.3?

3. Is there any rom for the desire 310 around the web, in the cause of problems with shuame, cwm and Mtk droidtools?

Hope someone can help me. how to root and to make a nand or Rom back-up of the desire 310.
 
Well, I'd like to know too if I can do it..
I think it isn't still possible, because it's a "new" phone, so there are exploits available..
anyhow I won't try something from untrust source..

Assuming you have ADB working, use Mobogenie 1 click root. It worked for me.

However, the App2SD is more problematic. This kind of apps don't work because the primary external storage is emulated. Reversing the sd card mount points in vold.fstab doesn't work, the emulated storage is still there, the sd card disapears. By the looks of it, 1 or 2 more files need to be modified in different locations (don't remember which and where offhand), but those are volatile and to make the change persistent it would require a modified .img that is then flashed to the phone. I'm not ready to brick my phone attempting something like this.

The only workaround I found so far, is using Link2SD. There are good tutorials found with a google search. The problem with this, is that the second partition in which apps are moved can only be accessed by the user in /data/sdext2 which requires root access. So far i have been unsuccessful in mounting it or sym linking it.
 
Unfortunately I cannot.
Unbelievable is it may sound, the cat literally jumped on my back and remained hooked there which caused me to drop the phone. -> permanent white screen, though the phone otherwise works. Now I em waiting for replacement displays to appear on the market.
 
hello every one :) i bought a htc desire 310 a few days ago and i received a software update which was of 12MBs i updated it and it installed succesfully...........Now the problem is that my phone keeps reebooting after every 2-3 mins without any warnings when ever i use it or theres a background process going on !!! my current build no is
1.00.401.4 ill be glad if some can help me with this
 
That's the same build as mine, but I have no such problem.
I suggest you go where you purchased it with the warranty, and ask for a fix.
 
it aint easy in pakistan to get a fix !! though i went to an htc service center , they told me that they will get it fixed but there are 50% chances that your phone will get dead and they are charging too much for the fix so im confused !!! by the way i received an update did u receive any kind of update ??

well about the warranty part u have to pay 20 $ extra which i didnt so im stuck now !! and the rooting part is really difficult i downloaded this sdk thing before but it didnt work every time i downloaded ...... and as i told u this process might take more then 2 mins and my phone reeboots even if plugged in and there are chances that it might reebot in the middle of the process and get into an even worse situation :( but stil if u can send me a nother simplified and easy tutorial to root this phone ill go for it

It's not a problem if it resets, just wait for the reset to finish, then continue where you left off.

The only time that it must not reset, is at step 16 after you click " 1 click root".
So, just before that, reset your phone manually, as soon as it starts up, connect it to mobogenie, and click root. The entire process should take less than 60 seconds, which is long before the automatic reboot.

I'm afraid I can't think of any other way to help you.
 
ok ! ill give it a try and let u know about the situation

btw the phone does not reeboot in the recovery menu nor the factory mode hope this line makes u understand the situation of my phone aaand one more thing i also tested the phone in SAFE MODE but got no luck !:( and I apreciate ur help thanks :)
 
Hey, I can't install the new Update :(((( It says system cannot be verified / htc_ime.apk error or something like that.. can anyone help me? I have deleted the stock keyboard for my HTC and the Stock Launcher.. pls if anyone can send me those .apk

If you can upload the stock rom or a backup than i will restore it via the recovery i would be really greatful!!!!!!!

My current build is 1.00.401.4 and I also have a rom update available, but I need to restore frozen system apks and unroot my phone and due to RL reasons I will not be able to do that this week. I do hope that this update will enable app2sd functionality. If anyone can confirm or deny that I would be grateful.
