Root Help please?

I'm trying to start to develop roms for android devices, I am familiar with Ubuntu, and Linux, I would like some links to helpful guides, if someone would be kind enough to do so, I am a teenager in highschool, freshman, fairly good with computers especially for my age, if someone could do so I will try to help out the community, and will appreciate it greatly, thanks in advance!

The best place to start is over at xda forums. xda university, specifically:

Try this to start with:
Introduction : How to build an Android ROM - XDA-University

A couple of quick tips:
- instead of writing "help please" for the thread subject, put in actually what your request is in brief. Like "help needed developing new ROMs"
- this thread is specifically for the Huawei Valiant. If your post is not related to the Valiant specifically, please post in a general forum.
