HELP! S7 edge email client is deleting emails from server

For the past two weeks I've been unable to sync sent messages on my S7 edge using the email app.

Today I realized that every time I try to sync that folder, it's actually deleting all sent emails from the server that were sent since the last day the sync worked.

I removed the account and re-added it and now (since there were no emails on the device after the account was removed) it's actually deleting ALL sent emails...

it seems that when there's a conflict, the phone is overriding the server.

Are you using IMAP or POP3?

Also, which email client are you using? I use the native Samsung client, version 3.3.36, configured for for IMAP and I've had no problems.
