Help? Trouble loading PDANet on new phone

CZSteve

Newbie
I just rec'd a new Evo 4G. It's a company phone and apparently we have not subscribed for the additional hotspot service.

I had previously purchased PDANet for use on my Hero.
I have PDANet for Android on my laptop and when I go to the pdanet file and select 'reinstall pdanet to phone' I receive error messsage 'err=3000'

Thoughts???

Thanks,
SA

Download it from the Market? Afaik it's free.
Or use Android's portable wireless hotspot setting that's already on your phone? (Settings > Wireless and networks > Tethering and portable hotspot > check portable hotspot).

PDAnet does not show up in the market. I've searched for pdanet and June Fabrics; neither show up in the market.

Why would you need anything from the Market when it is already built-in into your phone? And wireless too!

Settings > Wireless and networks > Tethering and portable hotspot > check portable hotspot.

youre gonna need to side-load it from the web. Sprint has blocked it from the market as of this weekend
