Help! Trying to root and after installing supersu my phone won't boot

Avantic

Lurker
I try to root my htc one m7, when i install supersu, my phone works fine, it will boot normally, but i cant open the supersu, it will close immediately when i open it. So i found a newer version of the supersu and install it. After i installed it and reboot, my phone went to htc logo screen, after a few seconds, it went black, but it seems the phone is running. I went back to the teamwin recovery project, I forgot what I did which deleted my os, and now when i switch on my phone, i goes to the teamwin recovery project. Is my phone totally dead? help! Sorry im just curious to try to root, but now i dont know what to do...

If you deleted your OS (operating system), it has nothing to boot TO. What you want to do now is one of two things:

(a) Install the original stock firmware (if you can find it). This will restore your phone to the HTC operating system.

(b) Install a custom operating system (ROM). These are probably more widely available, and gives you more flexibility in how the phone works. Use TWRP to install the ROM. ROMs are very device-specific: make SURE that the ROM you select is compatible with your device.

Good luck!

Find a compatible rom for your device. Choose the advanced tab in Teamwin, choose adb sideload.
Adb sideload "name of rom.zip"

It's basically flashing a rom without having to put the rom on the SD card and then choosing install, then the rom.
