Help using HDMI

I have a 10" zepad 180 with a HDMI output. When I hook it up the tv says no signal. I can't find anywhere to turn the hdmi port on. I have android 2,2. Any Ideas?
 
Most devices dont do hdmi mirroring, they only output certain apps. Try playing a video from the stock video player and see it that outputs.
