Yeah, it is a note 3 with peel installed out the box. I think it started when i updated something...

So when this menu comes up, it stays on it until i swipe to disregard. It bypasses screen timeout.

It wasn't like this before. if it is peel, i don't see options to disable it.

Another reason for me to avoid Samsung.

As Peel is apparently a bloatware system app, it should still have an option to uninstall the updates for the app.

Unfortunately, that's a common spam tactic. Install a benign app and then a future update pushes a whole bunch of adware to your phone. I'd definitely let both Samsung and Peel know that you are not happy at all as this comes under the technical heading of ... what's the term? oh yeah, Bullsh**. ;) :(

ooooh that is sneaky.

ooooh that is sneaky.
They did it to HTC devices a few months back, and when challenged it was all "oh, sorry, that wasn't supposed to go into the pre-installed version". But if it was an accident it seems to be one they keep making, beyond the point where I'm inclined to give them the benefit of any doubt.

(They said they'd correct it for HTC devices, but I don't know whether they did - my daughter uninstalled updates and disabled it the moment this arose, and I removed it from my ROM long before this).
