[Help] WiFi on/off breaks mobile data

Hi all,

I have a location based wifi on/off toggle for when I get home or get to work. The toggle works 100% of the time.

However, 50% of the time, when I exit and the wifi turns off, the mobile data does not work. On the phone settings it still shows it as activated.

Nothing I have tried makes the mobile data work again except reboot. I have tried airplane mode on/off, mobile data on/off, wifi on/off, mobile data from LTE to 3G to 2G to LTE.

What is going on here? Anyone else have this problem? I am on a Nexus 5, happens on Lollipop but also the previous version before I updated. Thanks in advance

Switching Data on/off doesn't work anymore on Lollipop.
Create a new task and try to use the Data toggle and it will show as not available. (Imported tasks may still show as ok but I guess they won't work properly).

This should help (I have not tried).

EDIT:
Try one day with Tasker disabled and see if your battery level is better or worse. I've stopped playing with the connections since Lollipop. The OS does so well.

Battery isn't really my issue. I am also not switching the data on or off, only the wifi. What I'm saying it turning the wifi and on off via tasker messes up the actual data
