Help Help with changing the voice in Text-to-Speech

I have had my N5 for about two weeks. Been working on getting it set up the way I like. Its funny how you wait and anticipate the release of a new device and run out and get it, then you spend all your time getting it set up just like your old device was set up. Anyway, I purchased a different voice for my last phone and would like to use it. I have downloaded and installed it, but when I get into settings and look for it, the only voice option that I have is Korean, which, by the way, isn't the voice I downloaded. Also, before I downloaded and installed my nice HD lady's voice that I would like to use, Korean was available, so I didn't get the wrong file. Does anybody have any ideas on how to get the voice that I want?

Any help is appreciated in advance,
BigRedGonzo

Which HQ voice app did you purchase and trying to use? Because if it's something like Ivona, there's two parts you have to install, the TTS engine component which makes it work, and the desired voice package(s), did you install the TTS part? Because if you didn't, could be why it's only the stock Samsung Korean available.

I didn't download an app, I plan on using the Samsung Text-to-Speech engine that is already installed on the phone. I only downloaded one of Samsung's Voice Files. On my S4, I could choose which voice file that I wanted to use. They have a few HD voice files that do fairly well, so I wanted to use one of them, but cannot, for the life of me, change to a different voice file on the phone. And, I really don't understand why the Korean one is in there.

TIA,

Perhaps later versions of Samsung's own "S" version TTS have been deprecated, and now only support the standard ones. And if you want other HQ voices, they expect you to be using a third-party TTS app, like Ivona. Just a guess.

I think all Samsungs have Korean actually, with them being a Korean manufacturer. :p Even ones here in China, where most languages are stripped out of Android, usually leaving just Chinese and English, except for Samsung, they have Chinese, English and Korean.

If you're referring to the various English language TTS packs available, say from different countries, look in the Galaxy Apps store (in your app drawer).
In the (Galaxy Apps) search function, enter TTS & all the language packs from Samsung are available for downloading.
