I flashed CM11 on my Note 2 a couple months back, and when I did that all of my contacts got kind of screwed up. I had exported contacts to the SD card, and then imported them once I flashed. But when I did that, all of the information about which account they belonged to got lost. I have around 2000 total contacts, the vast majority are work contacts that originally were synced via Exchange. I have less than 100 personal contacts, and these are the contacts that I want to display on my phone when I go to the contacts app. Right now almost all of my contacts show up as "Phone only, unsynced contact." The only exception to this are a couple of contacts I manually entered which I specifically designated as phone contacts only...yet those contacts show up as Gmail contacts.
So how do I go about straightening this mess out? Ideally I'd like to:
1) Mark my work contacts as work, and get them back syncing with Exchange
2) Mark my personal contacts as personal, and not have them sync with Exchange or Google
3) Figure out the best way to backup only the personal contacts, so that if something happens to my phone or I need to flash I can easily just restore those contacts, and then let the Exchange sync do the rest.
Any suggestions for any of these problems?
