Help Help with email "sending mail" tone

Instead of a quick double sound, my phone give many, many sounds that take 20 to 40 seconds before they stop. It is as if it is giving a cumulative sound for all the emails since it started doing this a few weeks ago. How do I get it back to the original, simple tone that indicates an email has been sent?

You can check the settings by pressing the menu button in email.
