help with firmware and stuffs

here it goes.. i updated my g1 to the cupcake 1.5 then i update it to eclair 2.0 then i got tired of it then rc 29 and now i update it to rc33(it has the system update but it keeps saying that my phone is up to date) I was wondering how can i restore it to factory settings? i did the rc29 but it doesn't show the system update. i want my g1 to have the firmware 1.6 and able to updates whenever google has a new update.

either you have to wait and see if your phone updates itself or search for all the builds to update and bring it to current yourself. I chose to do the later cause I didn't want to wait. it was pretty difficult at first to find all of them, but not any more.
