Just got my first smart phone--a Samsung Galaxy Core Prime. Although Ive been on computers for quite a while now, I feel like a complete newbie. I saw the Gmail app and set up my Gmail account, which I thought was fine. Next thing I know, my contact list is now my Gmail contacts. I did not want that. I found that by deleting contacts from my phones Contact folder, I was actually deleting my online Gmail contacts.
I want to: 1) import my Verizon contact list. I can see this list, but it is not in my Contacts app on my desktop. I have to go digging into my apps to get it, and its a hassle. Is there a way to get my Verizon contacts (they had been previously backed up to my online verizon backup account) to be in my Contacts app on my desktop?
2) I also want to remove the hundreds of Gmail contacts from my contacts folder--without actually deleting them from my Gmail.
