Root Help With HTC Desire 510 Rooting Error

I've tried both One Click Root and KingoRoot, and neither of them are working. I'm not getting actual error codes, but both usually get to around 85 - 95% done rooting, then they say it failed, but not why. I've followed their tutorials thoroughly.

I've now tried a few more programs.
I've googled the issue and have found many others with the same problem, but I've seen some that managed to root their HTC Desire 510 4.4.2

HOW THE HELL DO I DO IT?

(BTW, I've done the bootloader unlock thing)

You are going to have to install a new recovery menu. Go to Google on a computer and lookup "HTC Desire 510 Recovery TWRP". You should get instructions on how to unlock your bootloader, install the recovery, then manually install the SU binary using TWRP.
