help with laptop to hdtv sound/ with hdmi cable

I have my hdmi hooked up from my laptop to my tv and I see the display of the laptop on my tv but the sound wont come through the tv..

I have a 42" LCD made by LG
and an hp laptop running windows 7

help please =]
