Hi everyone! I'm having a worst nightmare with my Z2 phone. The phone was working ok a few days ago but after a reboot the touchscreen became unresponsive to any of pressing commands but worked on swipping left-right and up-down. I said myself that it has lost it's calibration and it need a factory reset. Did that but it remaind still on welcome screen. The phone was responsive to push commands only in boot menu, I was able to select with volume buttons the shutdown/reboot/info and so on and press the enter button on touchscreen. So after this I decided to send the phone to warranty. Bit the worst nightmare of them all was the low cost company that was provideing the warranty. They said that they will need to change the mainboard, the display and touchscreen because of some bumps the phone have taken, and the costs will not be covered by warranty. I said no to this, because the repair costs were more than the costs for a newly one.
After this experience I went to another service provider to exchange the digitizer and after this, phe phone is still having the same problem.
Can someone tell me if this is a software issue or a hardware one?
Thank you!
