help with photo editing please

so i'm trying to edit a photo but i suck at it, i have a picture of my face and i want it to be surrounded by flames

here is what i made

You need to use a better method to cut out your head from the background.

What program are you using? Try using GIMP, it's free and similar to Photoshop.
