Help with Playstation Emulator (Sound Stuttering)

Hey guys. I just got my first Android device, a Motorola ATRIX 4G. It's a nice change from my iPhone. I love it so far but I'm having a problem. I'm getting sound stuttering in a lot of Playstation games. I'm using FPse. If I play with the video settings it speeds up and slows down the sound stuttering but I can't get it right.

Any tips?

This seems to be the only PSX emulator on the market. Should I try a different one? How can I get another one on my phone that's not in the market?

Thanks for your help.

You can try the other PSX emulator,...psx4droid. Just go to the website page on your phone, and you can use the link there to download and install the apk file. I don't know if it will fix your sound problem but you can try it and see.

Try setting frameship to 50. Not quite sure what it does, but it greatly improved the audio on Soul Reaver for me (HTC Desire HD).

That is odd. I would expect the Atrix to play most games fine. There is one more emualator but it pales in comparison to fpse.
Hopefully other Atrix owners can comment on their experience.

I'll try that soon. Thanks

Well the games run great and I get like 100+ FPS on every game, it's only the sound goes too fast or too slow or stutters. Hopefully the other emulator will work.

Seriously - try frameskip 50. I was getting decent framerates but garbled sound on one game. It didn't change the graphics at all (to my eyes at least) but the sound improved 100%.

The developers comments say '-Framship set to 50 will avoid sound stuttering on low end devices or with some games that use much CPU'.

I consider my HTC Desire HD to be a high end device (although not as high end as your Atrix), but frameskip made a huge difference in Legacy of Kain - Soul Reaver.
