Help with repeat email notification

i am part of a Search and Rescue Team that uses group emails sent to our phones for call-outs. I need a way to have my email notifier sound off until I shut it off or view the email. Any Ideas ?

If you have gmail, you can set it up to forward specific types of messages to your phone as SMS. That's a start.

Despite its name, Light flow has an option for sounds and repeat notifications. Not sure if you'd need the paid version though (it's only a couple of quid).

The phone is a Samsung Galaxy Stellar 4 G from Verizon. I have my phone synced to my G mail account, but the alerts are emails , with the adress the 10 digit number@vtext.com . I appreciate the replys . This has caused a problem in the past, which is not good for the response.
