Root Help with Rooting

Hi guys! Just want to know if the baseband number/ build number affects rooting success.

I've seen successful rooting with device but with a different build number. Now I'm too anxious to try it.

Please enlighten me. Thanks!

i'm using ASIA CSC - S5830ODDKC1 (still 2.2.1) rooted with SOC and didn't experience any problem.

you wont regret it i just rooted to 2.3.3 using odin.
very fast & got rid of alot of junk!
