Help with S note

The S note that I've downloaded looks nothing like the S note screens that the online tutorials show. No templates, no sliding color bar for example. Can anybody tell me why?

Galaxy S2. First from within tablet as a featured app. Then from Samsung website. Came out the same. Now I've uninstalled and downloaded from site again. New download shows up as a downloaded file but will not open.
