Help help with samsung galaxy apollo

hi everyone i bought a samsung galaxy apollo android smartphone yesterday and i need some help regarding a couple of things. Firstly when i connect on to a free wifi connection i cannot access some of my apps like the market or facebook or twitter it wont load properly. Also i charged the battery fully and have now had to put it on the charge again as it was low. Can anyone give me some basic types with the phone thanks so much

I've had the phone 3 weeks, and am still learning about it.

Fully charged the battery will last 3 days at best (if you have wifi and blutooth turned off) and screen on minimum brightness. Most people say 1 day with all the toys on is normal!

The problem is, when turned on, apps run all the time, even when not being used. I got app monster from the market, it turns off all apps when you have turned it on. maps always seem to turn back on again, so I check it regularly and kill the apps again.

Here is a great article on making the most of the battery. I did however buy a spare for emergencies!
