I've broken the screen on my droid maxx and have purchased all the necessary tools and components to fix it. My only issue is that one of the screws was stuck and now is stripped. What I want to know is if any of you have any clever ways to remove the stripped screw without damaging my phone, or if there's a way to replace the screen without taking the back off and undoing all the screws. The screw in question is the one on the top left of the back of the phone. I've tried using a flathead in one of the grooves turning it perpendicular to the screw, I've tried putting a rubber band in between the screw and the driver, I've tried soldering a wire to the screw and turning it with the wire, and now the only ideas left are to drill it out or use super glue like the solder. I'm not going to do either since the risk of damage is too great. Any ideas would be appreciated or if it's possible to replace the screen without taking the phone apart, please pass the info along. Thanks for at least reading.
