HELP!! Xperia X10i first stuck in reboot cycle, now not charging or turning on...

Was wondering if the Android community can help as I'm just about at the end of my tether...

I actually own a HTC Desire, but my Technophobic Mum thought it would be a great idea to get herself an X10.
She was fine for about 6 months, but then it started having problems. It went through a phase of just turning off, even when on charge and then started getting stuck in the reboot/turn on cycle.

My rather exasperated Mother decided to leave it on the side and go back to her older, 'more reliable' phone.

As my HTC had done something similar and needed to update Android to fix it, I though the X10 would need the same. I turned it on, saw the memory card was still in, so turned it off, took the memory card out and now it won't turn on again!! have put it on charge, but no response, not event the charging LED.

I'm being pestered by my Mum (who didn't buy insurance for it...) and to be honest, I'd really like to get it sorted for her.

CAN ANYONE HELP ME??

If you remove the battery, then pop it back it, and charge via USB wall plug (still not turning the phone on) does anything show on the screen? What colour light lights up on the phone?

If you get no light, take it to a store and test out using a replacement battery.

If your moms phone is randomly rebooting, that isn't normal. Mine has never done this. I would suggest backing up pictures and contacts and reinstalling using Sony's PC Companion software.
