I have a 4g samsung galaxy s. For over a day now it says that I have no service and displays a circle with a line. I've been living on the same campus for two months and this hasn't happened. I've tried soft and hard reseting it, but nothing is working. Help, please?

Just like computer that exhibit weird behavoir, a simple first step trouble-shooting is to reboot your phone. Still cannot factory reset. Still cannot if got warranty go ask the brand customer support. If out of warranty and not willing to pay that much for trouble-shooting too bad.

Just think of Android devices like a computer. When it doesn't work what would you do?

Yes, try a battery pull first. If that doesnt help, call your carrier, there may be an outage in the area.

And FYI, putting your thread title as "help" is going to make a lot of people skip over it and not try to help you.

No you don't. You might have a Samsung Galaxy S 4G which is a different phone with its own forum.
