After entering an incorrect security pin or pattern too many times, you will be prompted for the password for the Google account that the phone is registered to. Once you enter the password, the phone will unlock and you will be able to reset the security. Please be advised that this only works if you have an active data connection either through wifi or a mobile network. If data is off, the only option you have is to reset your phone back to factory settings.
