Android Question

I have a verizon 16GB gs4 and i rooted it. i did not install any custom ROMs or anything although when i start up my phone it says samsung with an unlocked lock underneath it and under that it says custom. all of a sudden my SIM card wouldn't work and i kept getting errors when trying to turn on mobile data in the notification menu (it turned off by itself). i have a 13" MacBook Pro so if i have to use my mac for it i can but i do not have access to a PC. i tried doing a hard reset and factory restored everything with no luck. i keep getting the error message "unfortuntely, android.process.acore has stopped working" or something when i try to open most applications or do anything at all. i went to verizon and tried a new SIM card and it didn't work either. i called samsung and since i rooted it's not under warranty but they are going to try to flash the stock firmware onto it and see if it works for free but if it doesn't i will have to pay to get it fixed. is there any way to make it seem like it's never been rooted? i would much prefer it just to work though and have everything back the way i got it.

ANY HELP IS GREATLY APPRECIATED

Hi, welcome to Android Forums. First, don't panic, that's the worst thing at this point.

I am going to need information from you. When you rooted your phone, where did you get the root from? Did you make sure you used the rooting method specifically for Verizon? Believe it or not, that does make a difference and could cause the problem you are experiencing.

Visit the Samsung Galaxy S4 All Things Root Guide (Verizon)

It might help to Android Forums Here, then post your question in that forum as there are many people who can help you specifically.

But my recommendation would be to follow the rooting method there and then try it again, as you will find the root method that works with Verizon.
