Help Helpppppp

I just got my brother's old tmobile g1 phone. when i first got it my simcard that was orignally in my blackberry was working properly. I imported my contacts into the g1 after doing a factory reset and got all of my contacts in without a problem. About 20 mins later, the phone stopped working and tmobile told me i needed a new simcard. I got the simcard and was having a problem logging into my gmail acct after the new sim was in. when i called tmobile to explain this they advised me to reset the factory setting again and then log in. well this worked until i realized that my contacts were stored on the other sim card. now i cannot get my contact in because the android keep wanting to do the registration from the beginning and wont allow me to proceed since the old simcard get no connection to tmobile. can anyone PLEASE tell me if i can get this contacts back? i use my phone for work and its crucial that i get all of these contacts in my address book.

Why don't you just go through all the registration with the new sim card and once you are all set just pop the old one back in and pull the contacts off?

Worse comes to worse you can always take the old sim into TMO. They should be able/willing to pull your contacts off of it for you.
