Help Helpppppppppppppppppppp,Dialer issue

As above,no matter which dialer i install i'm having problems with them all.I can make a call but then the screen goes black and the only way to end the call is to press the power button.
Earlier i could see the dial pad etc but the phone was green NOT red so again i couldn't end the call except by the power button.

Sounds as if the proximity sensor is hanging. It sees your face coming close and turns the screen off, but it doesn't see your face leaving so the screen stays black. That's covered under the warranty, so have the phone replaced.

Have you confirmed the prox sensor works by using an app to test it?

Update,after placing the call,the phone reverts back to the call log,not going black/blank,it makes the call but i have to end it via the power button,sorry.

What kinds of tweaks do you have installed?

rooted?

etc?

First check settings > accessibility

and see if 'Power button ends call' is checked.

It sounds like your proximity sensor is thinking your head is always close to the phone, so the screen stays off during phone calls and you have to use the power button to end the call.

Thx guys but i ended up doing a factory reset and that cured the problem.
