Help Here's a new one, self installing AccuWeather?!

Five minutes ago I was responding to a different topic and when I looked up, there is an active download. Strange, since WiFi is off, in walking to work and Google play store is set to never auto update. I hate auto update. So I look and AccuWeather is downloading and installing. Not only have I not been in the play store recently, I haven't searched for a weather app in the life of this phone. Where I live, there are two kinds of weather, raining, and not.

So I'm wondering how this started? Do I possibly have a Trojan or something??

The phones I've had have AccuWeather as the default weather app. Idk what exactly happenend here could be possible that you told it to update with out realizing it....

But he claims he never opens the app store which means he couldn't have told it to update...
It's not that I NEVER open the app store, I just hadn't recently. When I clicked on it in the status bar and went to the store it said installing, NOT updating, as if it were not on the phone previously

I was meaning you hadn't went to the app store to update the app. I mean I've had HTC apps install without my permission Cuz I have auto updates off too. I thought it says downloading no what if it's an update or not, I don't pay that much attention to it.

I think Early has hit it. Is there any special place to tell a widget not to update? I have Accuweather Platinum, and I've set it not to update, but I see nothing in settings about widgets. I don't use them, so it might be on the widget itself?
