Hero Software Update

Well about a week ago HTC released the software update to 2.26 which seemed to fix some of the bugs with updating to 2.1 but I was still having that darn restart issue whenever using the internet or an app that connected to the internet (almost all of them). So about 30 min ago I got a notice for another software update to 2.27. So I just updated that and installed it.

Don't know if it will fix anything but I will keep updated and post on it.

Anyone else get the update and know if it resolves any issues?

I am in the uk on orange and as yet I have not got any updates. Am I missing something? Every one else seems to be updating but me.

I am in Singapore and no news about any updates yet. HTC is sure slow.

Well I have had the update for a day now, and I don't want to jinx anything but now my Hero is working as well as it did with 1.5 OS, so I am pretty satisfied now.

Maybe try manually looking for the update in the settings.

The GSM/3G Heroes have not been updated yet. In the USA Sprint have rolled out an update to 2.1 but they are not the same. The Sprint Hero is a different phone.

Came home from work early today, went to turn sound back on my phone and there was an icon in the status bar I have not seen before, like a mini android logo.

so i pulled down the status bar and sure enough it said 'update available'.

so I click the notification and I am taken to the my downloads section of market. no update after all.

Yeah I got that same notification for the first time yesterday. I like that.
