Hesitation between HTC Dream/Hero

sorry about my speaking because I'm french ^^
I hesitate between these two cell phones knowing that I can get the Dream for 150

Hero is newer, thinner, has better camera etc etc

At those prices, i strongly advise the Hero over the HTC Dream.

Battery is not great.. Most likely you will need to charge every night. It will last you one day, but maybe not 2. You will hear stories of people lasting 3 days etc, but thats with little use.

If you can spend a little bit more you should look at the liquid too. After that you need to spend ALOT more for the latest phones like droid or nexus.

All but the latest android phones are all half vga 320x480

If you want higher res than that you need to look at droid, nexus etc which are 400 EURO +

I know what you mean But the screens are large and bright. Also everything is made to be used by finger. It doesnt seem like really low res like it did on old WM phones

Yeah..

320x240 is QVGA (tattoo)
320x480 is HVGA (Hero etc)
640x480 is VGA (HTC Diamond - Window mobile)
800x480 is WVGA (Nexus, Droid)

So the screen is not just bigger than a QVGA, it is also better in quality.

Yeah, newer screens are alot better than the ones used on the old qvga screens.

You can also consider an AMOLED screen, but not on the Dream or Hero. The only cheap (used) phone that has AMOLED is the Samsung Galaxy. But there is a MUCH bigger community for HTC phones so it may not be worth it in the end.
