Hey,Does this exist for Droid?

Ok ill admit im a newby for sure, to be honest I dont even have a driod yet. I cant make up my mind if its really the (phone) for me. Heres what I need maybe someone can help point me in the right dirrection.

I have an old cellphone that only is good for making calls and taking very bad pics, vids and sending slow txts. But I dont txt much if ever..I dont really care about photos or vids all I need is a phone to use for phoneing people and it would be nice to be able to check my email and get on the web alittle. I also carry a Blackberry PDA that I use alot. I would love to be able to buy an all in one PDA and phone/web serfing thing. The main things it must do is have what my PDA calls a To Do list. I can make a note there like (order 25 cases of white wine for joes restaurant) and it will record the not with the day and time I wrote it. Then laster once i have placed the order i can go back and change the not to read (ordered 25 cases white wone for joes restaurant) and it will update the time and date. Then once the order arives I can move the note to a Done box where it will let me know I have done this task and it will record when I completed it. So does anyone know of a app for Driod that does this?

Not a texter, don't care about multimedia, all you want to do is a little surfing and read email?

I'm not sure dropping the money on an android phone is what you want.

haha this sounds like something that can be done with a notepad. But of course, having a phone to remind you of your tasks is way cooler and gives the impression that you are a busy high tech business person. Here is android agenda widget lets you schedule your tasks, and gives you reminder on your Android phone. It is free.

(I don't care if you're not an Android fan now or never, you still get the same welcome as everybody else.)

The thing about the modern smart phone is, it's not a pda that's also got a phone in it, it's a phone with some pda-like capabilities. Even Android gets uncomfortable when compared to a thoroughbred old-school pda.

Heck, although there is "of course" the basic calendar and phone book, it doesn't even come with a note pad app! And the notepad apps that are available, are all a bit clunky one way or the other.

Also, notice I just sad "phone book", not "address book". I don't know what contacts look like on the Blackberry, but the PalmOS contacts and calendar were far, far superior to what Android offers. If nothing else, Android is relatively slow, and the stylus-less design makes the user interface unfavourably oversized.

It may be a far cry from an instant-response pda, but it does a ton of other fun stuff, especially multimedia-wise.

What it comes down to is: if all you need is a phone with a notepad, stick with a Blackberry (or even a Palm Treo 680). You'd be disappointed with an Android phone, and that'd be a shame because they cost a lot of money and are really not that bad for what they're supposed to be.

There is, of course, also the obvious choice of carrying a good pen and a nice "analogue" pocket notepad.

Sounds like you'd be quite happy with a Palm Pre, but for what it's worth an Android phone will be able to do everything you listed (and much much more)
